Township Operations Update

Exciting news! The Hanover Township Community Center will re-open July 7th! It will be in a limited capacity as the workout room (cardio and strength training machines) will be available by appointment only starting tomorrow 7/2/2020. For those who have not yet used our online registration system or if you are having trouble registering/signing up, please call us to help set up your online access.
What we are doing to keep you safe:
– Increased Cleaning: High-use areas are being cleaned frequently with EPA approved disinfectants . The strength training and cardio rooms are being cleaned after each appointment period. High-touch surfaces (front desk area, door handles, etc.) are also being disinfected often. Bathrooms are disinfected halfway through the day and at the end of each day. Our front doors will be locked during scheduled cleaning periods. Cleaning stations will be available for you to disinfect your equipment before and after use (this includes weight plates, barbells, dumbbells, benches, etc.)
– Appointments Required: All services are currently by appointment only. This includes use of the strength training room, cardio room, and membership sales. At the end of your scheduled time, we ask that all members exit promptly so that staff can begin cleaning for our next group of members. If you are unable to keep your appointment, please let us know so that we can open your spot for another member.
– Temperature Checks: Anyone entering the building will undergo a quick temperature check to ensure they do not have a temperature of 100.4 or higher. We strongly encourage anyone who is feeling ill, running a fever, or otherwise showing symptoms to please stay home.
– Masks and Physical Distancing: We ask that anyone in the building please observe physical distancing at all times. We have added some spots on the floor in the lobby to help remind everyone. Our strength training and cardio rooms have been rearranged to allow for proper distance between equipment. Additionally, all of our staff will be wearing masks. We required that all facility users use masks when entering or exiting the building, and in common areas (hallways, bathroom, lobby, etc.). Remember, our masks protect you, and your masks protect us.
– Facility Use Adjustments: We have adjusted traffic in the lobby to allow for one set of entrance doors and one set of exit doors. To prevent the spread of germs, our locker rooms are currently closed and only bottle fillers on water fountains may be used. We plan to phase in other facility services, such as group exercise classes, and youth programming when we are able to do so safely.
– Staff Training: Our staff have been trained on how to implement our new cleaning procedures and on new facility policies and are ready to help you in any way they can.
– Mindfulness: We are focused on providing our community a safe environment to tend to their physical and mental health. Remember, we are all part of the same community and a little kindness and respect towards others can go a long way.
We have made some changes to how our building looks. To help everyone with their “first day jitters,” we have created a walkthrough video of HTCC to help you know what things will look like.
All members will be required to sign a COVID-19 waiver their first time back. It is attached to this email for you to print and sign, or you can sign one when you arrive.

Monday through Friday 7:00am – 6:30pm
Saturday 8:00am – 1:30pm
Sunday CLOSED
Memberships:
– All fitness memberships will be reactivated the day we reopen. If you wish to have your membership held, we can place your membership until August 7th with your timely notification. Any holds on fitness membership after 8/7/20 will require a doctor’s note or relocation notification. Month-to-month billing will resume in August.
– All Basic, Program, and Basketball memberships will continue to be extended until we are able to offer programs and use of the gymnasium.
– Questions about your membership can be handled over the phone, at HTCC, or by emailing rcepin@hanovertwp-cc.org.
– Daily passes will not be available at this time.
Contactless Access:
– Water fountain bottle filling stations will be available. Please bring your own water bottle.
– Library kiosk is available for members who are in the facility by appointment.
– We will not be accepting cash. Please be prepared to use a check or credit card for all payments.
– Concession stand will be closed.
– Please have your membership card ready for check-in.
