Hanover Township Preschool are currently offering programs for children 2.5 to 5+ years old.

Preschool age programming begins at age 2.5 years and offers educational programs with a ‘play-based’ preschool environment and enrichment for extended day opportunities.

Our format breaks the school year into four sessions year-round, allowing flexibility for families at registration.

2.5-3.5 Year Old Program: (Preschool)  Monday – Friday 9:00am – 2:30pm.

Our 3 year old program focuses on socialization and routine.  Children work individually as well as in small groups as they play and participate in hands-on activities.  Brief periods of teacher-directed and whole group activities are also part of the daily routine.

4 Year Old Program: (PreK1) Monday – Friday 9:00am – 2-30pm.

Our 4 year old program provides a balance of teacher-directed academics with exploration and individual choices.  The staff encourages independence and responsibility through daily activities.  Preparation for kindergarten is the focus of this program.

Pre-K: (pREk2)  Monday – Friday 9:00am – 2:30pm.

Our Pre-K program prepares children for kindergarten by encouraging independence, responsibility and strengthening academic skills.  Pre-reading, pre-math and writing skills are introduced and reinforced through classroom activities.  The opportunity to play and explore is also provided.

  • Due to our classes having a low teacher/child ratio we are able to practice differentiated instruction. Each child is taught at his/her level of ability in a safe and nurturing environment.
  • We will honor registrations on a first-come, first-serve basis, final decision of class designation is at the discretion of the director.
  • EXTRA HOURS are available between 8am and 5pm for an additional cost.  Please contact Lisa for more information.
  • Our preschool is PA DHS licensed and inspected on a regular basis.  We are also PA Keystone Stars accredited.
  • All of our preschool staff have all of their mandated clearances as well as many years’ experience within the early years environment, as well as some having elementary school teaching experience.  Ensuring we have the best and most supportive staff for our students, and to ensure they thrive.
