Youth Programs

Youth programs cross the spectrum of physical activity, sports, the arts, and education.  The Recreation Department publishes a Program Brochure 2x a year offering current session dates and program details. Art Classes – Artist Lisa Magyarics will share her knowledge and love of art with her students; emphasis will be placed on process with an increased awareness of outcome!

Climb and Craft – Class where scaling walls and craft projects combine. Ages 3-5

Dance – A mix of tap, ballet, jazzo. Ages 5-7

Golf – Instructional program will focus on stroke, grip, posture and stance. Ages 6-11

Kickball -Learn the basic rules of kickball as well as being able to play outdoor games each week. Ages 7-11

Lil Athletes – Each week of class consists of a new sport for children. Ages 3-5

Lil Dancers – Dance class for those younger children. Ages 3-5

Lil Shooters – A mix of floor hockey  and basketball skill and drills. Ages 3-5

Lil Tykes Football – A mix of flag football/football for the younger children. Ages 3-5

Quickstart Tennis – USTA program designed for children using smaller court dimensions/smaller equipment. Ages 3-5, 5-10

Indoor Soccer – Skills will be practiced and a variety of gym games will be played to enhance these skills: ball handling, passing, field of vision, and teamwork. Ages 5-12

T-ball – Very basics in baseball for the younger child with hitting, catching and throwing being introduced. Ages 3-5

Volleyball – Learn fundamentals of proper serving, setting, passing, and blocking. Ages 10-15

Youth Basketball – Our largest and most popular class! Ages 6-11

 

Year-Round Programs

Basketball Clinics – HTCC runs numerous clinics throughout the year conveniently scheduled during time off from school. Combine these clinics with a fun-filled day with our enrichment hours, see Children Services.

Karate – Learn karate through the Shotokan Karate System, learn self defense, self discipline, self control, and gain self confidence. Ages 5 and Up

Music – We offer beginner piano, woodwind, and brass

TGIF- Thank Goodness its Friday – 6-12 year olds join us for fun in the gym & game room, activities and snack provided!

 

HTCC has a strict NO Refund Policy; in the event of a program cancellation, HTCC will discuss a refund or credit on the account.
